"Soft winds at sunrise; a shoreline with sailboats, waterfalls, and waves; steep cliffs add adventure; a tidal design, the Napali way. A floral path colors, while aquatics thrive; the most magical hike of my life, with my love, all the time." -b. wood |
All I really care about for this game are the commercials, great plays, the half time show, and getting together with friends. It was a great game, I can’t remember an interception, there were “jump up and scream” plays, and not too many flags. And this year the commercials were definitely funny, well most of them. The e*trade babies are always entertaining and the milkaholic in particular was hilarious. A few were dumb funny, and too many had people in underwear. I don’t know why yet. And it wasn’t sexual, it was people in underwear. Dove and Doritos brands were funny too. My favorite Doritos commercial was with the child and his mom’s date. Hyundai had so many commercials - I don’t remember any in specific. Check them out online if you didn’t watch them on Sunday.
After a cost analysis in my marketing communications course a year ago, we discussed how it could cost the same or less to have an ad in a national publication and reach the same number of people, possibly the same crowd if there is reliable research. However, today, internet ads and online media has even a larger impact. Check out what Pepsi is doing at refresheverything.com instead of creating a commercial for the superbowl fans. Creative? Hype that will create a buzz? Does it identify with the brand? Will it be successful?
